English courses are designed for a number of purposes.
ENG courses are academic and provide the credits needed for students to follow their pathway to Tertiary courses, many of which require English credits at certain levels.
The EN2 courses are designed for students who work at a slower speed and while they are designed around the same Achievement Standards students often complete fewer standards in the year.
- ESOL standards are available for students who have English as a second language and who find English language more difficult.
The ENP courses are designed to get students to use functional literacy and focus on Supported Unit Standards that teach life skills.
English as a subject is compulsory through Year 12 and we endeavour to place students in courses that will meet their needs and abilities.
