Year 10 French

10FRE
Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs J. Shepherd.

Recommended Prior Learning

All students who enjoyed Year 9 French are welcome to pursue this course. Ideally, students will have gained a Merit or higher in the Year 9 CAM but this is not essential. A positive attitude, consistent attendance, and a willingness to "have a go" is the most important prerequisite. Involvement in some optional homework activity, using Duolingo for schools, will enable greater progress and be part of the weekly quiz points.

Étudiez le français, c'est fantastique!

In Year 10 French we develop deeper understanding of the fabulous French language and culture. We learn more about the country of France and its festivals. We sing, we speak, we listen, we write, we research, we play, we have quizzes and we have FUN learning. By the end of Year 10 French, students will be able to use a range of vocabulary and verbs in order to express themselves using more complicated language.
