Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr J. Welch


This course is practical and has an Adventure Activities focus. If you enjoy getting out there and getting amongst it this course is for you!  There is some assessment but this is not the focus for this course.  We aim to have at least one trip each term with a week long trip at the end of term 3! Possible activities, kayaking, snorkelling, mountain biking, rock climbing, tramping, rafting, skiing, sky diving, camp cooking etc...

We are considering the possibility of offering a trip to the USA, Yosemite National Park & Grand Canyon 2024?


Course Overview

Term 1
The full year will be based around practical activities & if the weather is good we try to get out there & get amongst it!

Term 2
As above.

Term 3
As above. End of term 1 week trip!

Term 4
Tidy up of assessment.

Just be willing to get involved and have a go!

We will utilise verbal and practical assessment related to leadership, safety management, demonstration of skills...
